At what point in your life did you realize you were an artist?
I’ve always been interested in art, but working, raising a family, I never had the time until I retired, and then I dove in.
Why did you choose the folk art genre?
I was drawn to folk art because it’s whimsical, kind of like me.
What mediums do you use or most enjoy?
I started with oils, then switched to acrylics because it dried faster. I use ink paints, anything else that works.
Does the work come framed?
Most of my art comes framed, some look better without a frame.
Can paintings be shipped?
Shipping is available at the expense of the buyer and includes very careful packing. Average cost for packing and shipping averages $45.
Do you do commissioned work?
I’ve done many custom commissioned pieces and have had terrific feedback.
Where do you find inspiration?
Everywhere… sunsets, birds, flowers, and I take pictures of everything I see.
